Volunteer Drivers

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

If you don’t have access to transport and struggle to get to the surgery for your appointments, our volunteer drivers may be able to help you.

Who can the volunteers help:

  • Patients who can get themselves in and out of the car with little or no support – walking aids must first into a standard size car.
  • Patients who need to attend routine (non-urgent) appointments.
  • Patients who are registered with Westbury on Trym GP Practice and live within the catchment area.

If you would like to find out more information about the volunteer driving scheme, please contact the surgery.

Would you like to become a volunteer driver?

The surgery works closely with The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP), the charity helps people over the age of 50 find voluntary opportunities within the local community.

Please see the RSVP website for more information on the opportunities available.

If you own and drive a car, have time on your hands and would like to help others we would really like to hear from you.
