Covid-19 Spring Booster
Who is eligible?
- Adults aged 75 years and over (including adults who turn 75 years old by the 30th of June 2024).
- Residents in care homes for older adults
- Individuals who are immunosuppressed (individuals must meet specific criteria and you will be contacted if you are eligible).
If you are eligible for the Covid-19 Spring Booster we will be in touch in the coming weeks offering you an appointment.
When will I be vaccinated?
- If you are housebound or an older adult in a care home, we will begin these vaccines in the week commencing 7th of April 2025.
- If you are immunosuppressed or aged 75 or over, we are looking to hold a Friday afternoon clinic on Friday the 4th of April 2025 and a Saturday morning clinic on the 5th of April 2025. We are in the process of confirming a date and staffing and will send you an invite as soon as we have everything confirmed. In addition, we will be offering a few mop-up clinics during the following weeks for those who are not able to attend our clinics on the 4th of 5th of April.
What vaccine will be used?
At this stage, we are expecting Spikevax JN-1. However, we are awaiting written confirmation. No alternative vaccines will not be available.
We will update this page regularly. We are still awaiting full confirmation of the operational notes and once we have everything we will confirm and start sending out invitations.
